Join us on our journey as we help Lismore and the Northern Rivers recover from the 2022 floods.

The Hub

Located at 215 Keen Street, Lismore (on the corner of Conway Street), the Resilient Lismore Hub is the base for all our operations. It is a place where flood-affected community members can come to seek assistance, help themselves to donated goods, access services, referrals and advice, or just have a chat.

The Hub houses our Tool Library, from which community members can borrow tools to undertake their own DIY repair projects.

We encourage all community members to pop in for a visit, and maybe even volunteer their time while they’re here!

Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 4pm.

Volunteer

Local volunteers are required to assist with recovery across our region. Register to be assigned volunteer assignments that suit your skills.

Working Holiday Visa holders can complete their 88 days of work with us in order to extend their visas.

👋 Come say hello at our Volunteer Hub at 215 Keen Street (Corner of Keen and Conway Streets) to grab some tips and supplies. We can also sign you up in person and get you going on some jobs. Alternatively, email us at intake@resilientlismore.org.au or click the ‘Register’ button below.

👷‍♂️ We request that big groups (10+ people) also contact us at intake@resilientlismore.org.au so that we can coordinate ahead of time.

Hundreds of people are still living in flood-damaged homes, or worse, not even back in their homes.

We are on a mission to help as many flood affected people get back into safe, secure and warm homes by building walls in two rooms.

We don’t strip out houses - although if you are donating items to us we can help remove them.

You can grow your skills and connect with community by joining a Two Rooms team.

We are also seeking people who need assistance from our volunteers to get back into safe and secure housing.

The Two Rooms project

The Disaster Ready Together (DRT) Project is a 12 month project focused on networking and building resilience within the community services sector to amplify its role and create networks so they work better together during disasters.

Financial and equipment donations are urgently required.

All donations will be used to support Resilient Lismore’s flood recovery activities and programs.

The 2022 Flooding Event was the most severe in recorded history and there has been extensive damage to homes and businesses. The community response has been incredible, and we should be very proud of what are doing on the ground, but our community and volunteers are getting tired.

“We need your immediate help to continue this recovery effort.”

- Elly Bird, Resilient Lismore Executive Director
