Bentley Art Prize’s generous donation

Wendy, Meg and Peter from Bentley Art Prize present Resilient Lismore Executive Director Elly Bird with a cheque for $1000.

The Bentley Art Prize, a cultural institution dating back more than three decades, has generously donated $1000 to Resilient Lismore.

The much-loved community event, which attracts entries from all over Australia, is a not-for-profit organisation, so it donates all money raised from door entries and other means to local charities and worthy organisations. It makes an annual contribution to the Bentley RFS, and picks another group every year.

The group decided to donate to Resilient Lismore this year due to “a deep appreciation of the work Resilient Lismore does in supporting the Northern Rivers community”.

This donation and any donation to us will go directly towards supporting our community with their many and varied needs.

The Bentley Art Prize was established by Reg and Phyllis Hartley, and has been coordinated by Helen Trustrum for 18 years.

We thank them very much for their generosity and assure them the money will be well-spent!
