First tool workshop a great success

Eight participants learnt how to use hand tools, power tools and built themselves a bench over the three Saturday mornings of our tool workshop pilot program.

Led by our Two Rooms team leader Tony, the eager students had a great time coming to grips with the various tools, not only gaining confidence in how to use them to make something, but a greater belief in their own abilities.

Further tool workshops planned for 2024!

We’ve received a lot of interest in when our next workshop will be. It will be in the new year and given the response will fill up quickly, so make sure you and anyone else interested are subscribed to our newsletter to be the first to know when we finalise the dates.

Workshops will include Plaster and Painting, plus the introduction workshop Know Your Tools. The Workshop Program will be announced before Christmas, through our email newsletter as well as the RL Facebook groups, so stay tuned!

If you would like to be on the email list for tool workshop announcements, just email Emma, our Events Coordinator at events@resilientlismore.org.au, with your email address and phone number. If there is a particular skill or tool you would like to learn, please let us know that too.
